COMMENTARY

The Authorized King James Version of 1611 is not alone, having over 150 "sister" versions in over 150 languages of the world.
These "sister" versions are all based on the Stephanus GNT of 1550, for the most part (< 0.03%
differences). The Cambridge Edition updates are acceptable.

Our studies have concluded that the Hort and Westcott GNT is a uniquely Catholic, Arian and Gnostic doctrinal accommodation, in about 3300 verses.
Thus those Greel texs derived from it, the UBS, SBL and NA, are also accommodations.

Virtually all modern translations are derived from HW directly or from its derivatives UBS, SBL and NA.
Thus they all accommodate uniquely Catholic, Arian and Gnostic accommodation to one degree or another.

So if you are a Catholic, Arian or Gnostic, you have plenty of Hort and Westcott translations to choose from.
But if you are not, please consider wisely, prayerfully, and listen to God's Holy Spirit to guide you.

BTW, without the 2nd person pronouns used in the KJV (thee, thou, thine, etc) there are about 15,000 potential ambiguities with respect to singular or plural, many changing doctrine.
Furthermore, all other languages maintain these pronouns. Only English is "dumbed-down". Thus a translation that retains them is "smart".

Warning: Some contemporary publishers are now "stealing" the name "Received Text Greek New Testament" in order to fool unsuspecting believers.
Their Greek texts ARE NOT 100% based on the traditional Received Text Greek New Testament, but have huge infusions of Hort and Westcott.
They are not even acknowledging that the "majority" texts like Stephanus exist.
They are making sure in the future only the most studious believer will find out the truth.
