"Millpark Clock"
This clock was in the main hall, near the foot of the
stairs, at Millpark. Later the clock was used in the kitchen at Batavia.
It had two wind up springs. One spring made the clock
movement run. The other spring was used to operate the gong.
In typical clock fashion, it rings on the half hour, just
once, but on the hour, the number of times of the hour hand setting.
(The clock still runs, though barely, so it is usually
not run at all to save its remaining "life". The clock movement is the
original.)
