Averick is the daughter of John Avery Parker (1769-1853)

     John Parker, was a merchant, but for awhile was also the manager of the Tremont Nail Factory in Massachussetts.
     This factory is still in business today.

     Mr Parker owned one of the largest houses in New Bedford, MA. When he died, he was the richest man in New Bedford.

     Today, there is a school named after him: The John Avery Parker Elementary School, in New Bedford, MA




      Averick herself married Christian Heineken of Bremen. Sometime after he died, Averick moved back to the USA.
      She died where she was born, in New Bedford, MA.
