Hard facts about the Septuagint
The one and only preserved letter (really a book by Artistes) that describes
the creation of the Septuagint around 250 BC is a forgery, because
various facts in that letter do not fit the historical facts of that
era, and is so inaccurate it could not have even been written anytime near 250 BC, so ...
- other
scholars who defend the Septuagint all disagree with one another
and/or give witness in hearsay form, simply citing other scholars who
are making up stories (well proven now), or they themselves quote the
fraudulent letter of Artistes
- other scholars still have credibility issues due to even contradicting themselves.
- There
is now evidence that Philo of Alexandria, Egypt had the money in 50 AD
to finance a Greek version of the Hebrew, only it is riddled with false
doctrines, and further, would have been too late for Jesus to use,
since Jesus was already crucified and resurrected. This Greek soon
became known as the Septuagint, not a 250 BC version, but 50 AD, and
not having 70-72 faithful Hebrew scholars translating into Greek, but
some Alexandrian scholars. However, Philo passed it off as a copy of
the 250 BC text (that really never existed). Apparently Philo was
anti-Jewish and wanted to corrupt the Jewish bible just enough to try
to say, I found the real Word from God since the Jewish text was lost
(even though that was a false story), thus trying to alter Jewish
doctrine, especially with apocrypha containing heresy of all sorts.
- Even some scholars of the first few centuries agreed that the Septuagint was a fake, having uncovered the details above.
Jesus said in Matthew 5:18 “For
verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one
tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.”
Jesus and His disciples are all
Jews, and would never use a Greek text, so even if the Septuagint
existed then, they would not quote from it, lest they
look like fools in front of other Jews who could by law only use the texts available in the temple.
The formal gender of most of the
nouns is different from the Masoretic
text, changing the class of noun, and thus the meaning. In fact it
is akin to throwing pieces of a puzzle out and trying to make sense
of it.
For
example, in Proverbs 15:8, the word for “abomination” in the
Masoretic is feminine,
but in the Septuagint, it is neuter. The feminine is all-inclusive,
but the neuter is an undefined abomination, as if God is
wishy-washy about abominations.
Furthermore,
in this same verse the word for “delight” in the Hebrew is in
the masculine, which means God's delight is focused on the person
he delights in, but the Septuagint puts it in the feminine, which
converts the person God delights in into a corporation, which is
laughable!
- Creating and/or knowingly using a forgery of scripture is "the unforgivable sin", because it is blaspheming the Holy
Ghost by making it appear the Holy Ghost inspired the writings of a
forgery. We have shown the Septuagint (LXX) is a forgery with a
few simple proofs.
